Great Value This item worked great. BTW, did you notice that the optical drive slides out of the "Bay" by depressing then pulling on the 'T-handle' on the lower right front of the drive?

Now my past laptop Dell Latitude which had that type of dual USB port to connect this external dvd writer is no more there and the new by does not have that dual power usb port to connect dvd writer.
